Why Do We Doubt Him?

Hudson Taylor said, "Many Christians estimate difficulties in light of their own resources, and thus attempt little and often fail at the little they do attempt.

"All God's giants have been weak people who did great things for God because they reckoned on His power and presence to be with them."

While there are many ways to say this, the ultimate desire of a disciple for this life is to walk in the fullness, power, and presence of the Holy Spirit.

Here's the thing. When we pray and yearn for His power and presence--the very thing He wants to give us--and it's happening, why are we then so often doubtful that it's really Him?

Questions I'm asking today: Could it be that "every" blessing, big or little, really is from Him? Rather than doubt it, why not simply believe? Why not give thanks and praise to the Lord when what I've prayed for actually happens? Why wonder if it was merely a coincidence?

Doubt is the legacy of our sinful natures.

Until every church disciples every man...
