A Reason To Be Kind, Not Quarrelsome

23 Jan 2024

The Service Department was right. Their advice did fix the problem.

But they shouldn’t have made me feel like an idiot for not already knowing what to do.

In the process of proving how right they were–and how stupid I am–they lost me.

There’s a lesson here for reaching men.

When we are kind and gentle, God will use us to help bring people to their senses.

When we quarrel with someone about God, we may or may not prove our point, but we will definitely drive a wedge between them and their Creator.

Here’s how Paul explained it to Timothy: “And the Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but kind to everyone, able to teach, patiently enduring evil, correcting his opponents with gentleness. God may perhaps grant them repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth, and they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, after being captured by him to do his will” (2 Timothy 2:24-26)

Until we reach every man…
