Brothers and Sisters…

Some of you have been praying for us for many years, and all of you have prayed with great faithfulness even if you’re relatively new to our prayer team. I’ve always said, “Prayer people are different.” You know what I mean. You have a connection and communion with Jesus that is different from most people. It is a gift.

That’s why I’m writing today–to ask you to use your special gift of prayer.

Over the course of this year, we were developing three major $100,000 gifts. When we went to close these gifts in September, all three fell through for very good personal reasons. But that has put us into a short-term cash flow crunch. Also, the human emotions that come along with that.

The purpose of this email is to make a special request. Would you pray for us every day for the next month or so? And if you are inclined to fast, would you join me in fasting for Man in the Mirror finances for both headquarters and for our Area Directors? I am fasting from dinner to dinner one day a week, although this week I’m doing it for four days.

I have unwavering trust that God will take care of us, and you. But I also know He wants us to involve you to intercede on our behalf. So if the Lord touches your heart on our behalf, I would deeply appreciate you standing with us. Here are some specific requests…

-That those of us responsible for fundraising will individually seek God and pray for His favor, will, forgiveness, cleansing, filling with the Spirit, more faith, and wisdom and courage for the practical steps we need to take.

-That God will lead our other new and our existing donors to take or return our phone calls over the next two weeks and move their hearts to take up the slack.

-That we can find new generous wealthy donors, especially men impacted by The Man in the Mirror.

-That we can receive more referrals from existing relationships.

• That we can improve our story and our ability to tell it.
