The Man in the Mirror Video Bible Study is an online, nondenominational Bible study of 10,000+ men who meet in small groups located in offices, restaurants, and churches in all 50 states and throughout the world.

The videos are generated at a live study at the Winter Park Civic Center in Winter Park, Florida, where about 150 men gather each week from more than 50 Central Florida churches to hear me teach a Bible message, and then discuss and apply the lessons.

FORMAT: You can meet anytime, anywhere, and as often as you want. Most meet weekly in small groups or in one-on-one relationships. We have groups as small as 2 and as large as 150. Any way you want to use the Bible study is okay with me. Download the questions and print them out for the men. Show the video—usually about 35 minutes. Discuss the questions over 20 to 30 minutes. Always end when you said you would end. Always cast the vision for your men to not only “become” disciples, but also to “make” disciples. You’re not making disciples until your disciples are making disciples.

A 3-FOLD CONCEPT: The Bible study operates on a threefold concept. First, through the message and discussion groups we want to help men see a larger glimpse of the God who is. Second, we want to invite men to jettison a little piece of the God or gods they wanted. Third, we want to show men how to apply the message to their everyday world — you know… it’s 9 AM, the phones are ringing, and the customers are complaining — how do you make that transition?

DISCUSSION QUESTIONS: Discussing the questions is most important. The first discussion question is an icebreaker to get the conversation started. The second question is usually an information or knowledge-based question. And the third question is always focused on application — turning the message into relevant news that your men can use.

WHICH MESSAGES TO USE: A lot of groups follow the most recently posted message, and a lot of groups dig into the archives. It’s completely up to you. If you want a suggestion, consider taking your men through The Man in the Mirror Series (the “current series” linked above) since it covers the foundations of biblical manhood. Series range from 3 weeks to one year in length. There is no charge. A one time registration is required.
