A Prayer For Our Discipleship Today

23 Jan 2024

Our Dearest Father, this week you have put Scripture into the heart’s of our pastors to explain to us. We all will be eagerly coming to church with many questions, and with a great number of misunderstandings, about the meaning and message of this Scripture. Many of us will have suffered great heartache. So today we pray that your special grace will be with our pastors to disciple us with an orthodox understanding of what you have called them to preach to us. Help our pastors answer the questions, “So what?” and “Now what?” We pray, Father, that each of us understand how this knowledge applies to our own ministries of making disciples. We ask your Spirit to bring an application to mind that each of us can put into action this week. Help us to not merely look in the mirror and then forget what we see. In Jesus name, amen.
