Don’t Pretend To Know What’s Going On

23 Jan 2024

Job said God was attacking him, but it was Satan. Job thought his days were over, but they were not. Job misinterpreted his circumstances, so his conclusions were wrong.

And then there were his friends. Their attempts to “explain” God quickly turned into crazy speculations and charges–and even crazier recommendations.

When like Job you think God is punishing you, or when your “friends” are convinced you’re suffering because you’ve sinned, it may be something altogether different. The lesson for us?

When we don’t really know what’s going on, let’s be humble and not pretend we do.

Until every church disciples every man…
