Picture a circus performer riding two horses at the same time, one foot on the back of each horse. If the horses begin to move apart, he has to make a choice. So it is in our spiritual journeys.
Unless we carefully examine our lives, we tend to see the Christian worldview and the secular worldview close together, like our two circus horses. However, as they come into sharper focus, they move farther and farther apart, and we eventually reach a point, like the daring circus performer, when we must choose one or the other.
The choice between a Christian worldview and a secular worldview is the choice between God’s race and the rat race.
