Making a Difference

23 Jan 2024

What do you think is a man’s greatest need? One man said he would like his tombstone to read, “He made a difference.” Every man wants his life to matter. A man’s most innate need is the need to be significant—to find meaning and purpose.

Jesus said, “If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing” (John 15:5). That is to say, a man cannot find significance in any lasting way apart from Christ. Only when you and I are in Christ, and submitted to God’s plan and purpose, can we go about satisfying our greatest need in a way that endures. Everything else returns to room temperature when we die.

Until every church disciples every man…
