Men’s Two Greatest Regrets

23 Jan 2024

Men, as a young businessman I got into the habit of asking older men what their greatest regrets were, hoping I could then dodge them. They varied, but two regrets showed up on almost every man’s list.

First, “I was so busy looking out for my company’s future that I forgot to take care of my own future. Now I’m fifty-five, and only have ten years left to get my own financial house in order.”

Second, “I was so busy trying to improve my family’s standard of living that, before I knew it, my children were grown and gone, and I never got to know them. Now they’re too busy for me.”

Don’t let these be your regrets too.
