It took me longer than it should have to figure this out, but here’s the concept that opened the door to a no-reserves emotional and spiritual intimacy in our marriage. 

“I let you be you, and you let me be me.”

She beat me to this place by a factor of many years. I thank her for the patience. It’s absolutely the greatest human experience I’ve ever had.
