It is a misconception to think that science = reason without faith, or that religion = faith without reason.
Christian faith would not be possible without good reasons.
And, as wonderful as it is to better understand our universe, it takes a lot of faith to believe the grandiose claims of science about what happened billions of years ago. (Especially since those claims keep morphing).
We need both science and religion. For example, without science all of the miraculous life-saving and life-extending advances in medicine would not be possible. But without religion, they would have no meaning.
As Einstein noted, science can tell us how, but we need theology to tell us why.
