I’m sitting here, as I do each day, wanting to connect with God in a most personal way.
This is what we all want, isn’t it?
-An intimate, personal, reciprocal love relationship with our Creator.
-To experience His love.
-To love Him for loving us.
-To carry that love with us into our day, our relationships, and our decisions.
I also want to get my head straight. I don’t want to live today by my own best thinking. I want to get it right.
This is what we all want, isn’t it?
-To know the God who is, not the God we want.
-To know the truth that will set us free.
-To be reminded that His word is truth.
And I want to experience a moment of worship. A moment in which the weight of His glory overwhelms me. I like to call this “the moment of humility” because all pretense is swept away.
This is what we all want, isn’t it?
-To become aware of a palpable sense of the presence of the holy.
-To worship.
-To be renewed.
-To be transformed.
There are, of course many ways to say it. But we all want a personal connection, to get our heads straight, and to experience a transcendent moment.
But it takes a little time, doesn’t it? So we must linger in the silence until we hear the voice of God.
When we hear it, we will know. The voice of God is unmistakable. And then, when we are filled to the overflow, we can get on with our day.
There are, of course, many ways to say this. But this is how we can live out of the overflow of our relationship with Jesus.
Until we reach every man…
