I Apologize If I’ve Been Putting Too Much Pressure On You

23 Jan 2024

This week a man moving his family from the Southeast to Colorado apologized for taking seven days to respond to an email from me. Did you catch that? He was moving across country–with his family!

I think we’re all putting WAY too much pressure on each other, and ourselves, to give overly rapid feedback.

I think we will all be more content and happy when we figure out how to sync our pace to the rhythm of human relationships rather than the capabilities of digital accessibility and speed.

Let’s say to each other, “I’m sorry if I’ve made you feel like I’m putting too much pressure on you.”

In reality, there are very few things in life that can’t wait two weeks.

Until we reach every man…
