We’re going to start a City Fathers Prayer Group here in Orlando after the holidays to pray for our sons and daughters–for the next generations of our community.

We’re going to invite leaders from every sector who are community-minded, who ache for what’s happening to our sons and daughters, and who long for God to send spiritual revival and awakening. And we have many such leaders.

But we also want leaders for whom prayer is primary. Not those who believe in prayer, but those who actually pray. There is a difference.

That got me thinking about the primacy of prayer. Let’s each make sure that prayer is the first disposition of our hearts. Let’s make prayer primary.
