“I’m just not happy.” We hear people say this all the time. We say it ourselves.

So what’s the secret? Why are some people happy, and the rest of us always looking?

Happy people have settled in their minds that God loves them and accept that He has their best interest at heart – no matter the circumstances.

So they humble themselves and revere Him, and thus are able to give Him thanks in all things – the spirit of gratitude which is the secret of a happy life.

Ecclesiastes 3:14 puts it like this: “I know that everything God does will endure forever; nothing can be added to it and nothing taken from it. God does it so that men will revere him.”

God will not force us to revere Him, but he will make it impossible for us to be happy until we do.

That’s the secret of a happy life in 2016 and beyond.
