If Ephesians 2:8-9 is correct that faith is “a gift from God,” then why plead with a man to trust Jesus?

There’s no need. And it doesn’t work anyway.

Pointless: badgering a man to become a Christian.

Better: pleading with our God to give a man the gift of faith, then making ourselves available for an “intentional spiritual friendship” when grace starts moving his heart to long for “the gift.”
